What is Green Wedding Slices?

Green Wedding Slices offers easy green wedding tips, lovely decor and food ideas, sustainable gown and ring options, and more – everything you need to plan the perfect green wedding. While extravagant is nice for some people, Green Wedding Slices’s goal is to keep the planning process a little more simple and thus less stressful. Why get strung out? You should not only enjoy the wedding but the planning process as well.

Why green weddings?

For years I’ve been a freelance writer and problogger, mainly in the green genre. I should also mention right up front that I’ve never been a huge fan of weddings; all that waste, all the consumption, and all the stresses and headaches (ick). Then a couple of years ago, at one of the green blogs I write for, my co-blogger and me decided to hold a green wedding month event. It was a total blast. Weddings a-la plain are still not that interesting to me, but greening a wedding rocks and green weddings are such a fun topic that I got hyper hooked.

I’ve been living different shades of green for years and I’m also a problogger and freelance writer mainly in the eco-genre, and mama of an eight-year-old boy Cedar. Currently, I’m located in the nicely gray and drizzling Pacific Northwest, which feeds both my green living and unruly coffee addictions. I’ve been writing about green living for years as well as working on other writing projects such as websites, blogs, copy for non-profits, national magazine articles, and business proposals.

I’m a community manager at EcoHuddle and I currently write for a handful of other green minded sites including Growing a Green Family, Slices of Green, Green Beauty & Style Slices, Blisstree Green, Inhabitots, Planet Eye Traveler – Green Travel, Tree Hugging Family and Best Green Home Tips. I also write about pregnancy, gardening, thrifty living, blogging for a living and more.
