At the risk of turning most of the crunchy community against me, here’s a little secret. I’m not a fan of Toms Shoes. I love their whole ideal of matching every pair of shoes purchased with a pair of new shoes that they give to a child in need. I like that they involve the community in their efforts. I appreciate that they offer vegan choices. Everyone I meet is like, “Toms is so comfortable!”
So, I get it, Toms has plenty of perks. I just don’t love the look of their shoes.
For whatever reasons, I’ve always found Toms to be a bit too boxy for my liking. In fact, when I heard they had a new wedding line, I rushed over to their website to peek (with high hopes) but nope, even the wedding line is boxy. Take a look at the Ivory Grosgrain Women’s Classics below…
Try as I might, I can’t see wearing these at a wedding. Not delicate enough. Then I found something amazing – new streamlined, less boxy and 100% cute ballet flats. Look how sweet these Natalia Rose Linen Ballet Flats are.
These sweet shoes are crafted with light, airy linen and a pretty floral print contrast liner. There’s a hidden wedge for added height and support, padded heel cushion and two-layer insert with EVA foam and latex for plush comfort. While they’re a little casual for some, casual at weddings doesn’t bother me at all. I love pretty little flats. I love easy and comfortable shoes and I would wear these at a wedding.
These come in many shades, some more wedding appropriate than others. I like the pink above best though. The best part is that these ballet flats, like all Toms are a buy one, give one deal, which would make your wedding even more meaningful. Nice!
